The South African Nephrology Society (SANS) and Renal Care Society of South Africa (RCSSA) Scientific Programme Committees would like to extend an invitation to you to submit an abstract/s for the upcoming South African Renal Congress which will be held at the Indaba Hotel & Conference Centre in Johannesburg from 18 - 20 October 2024.
Please ensure that you read through the information below carefully.
ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES & INSTRUCTIONS
- Submitted abstracts should be original, topical, and current.
- Your abstract should provide a concise summary of your paper.
- Abstracts must be submitted online through the online submission system.
- Abstracts can be submitted for oral or e-poster presentation.
- Abstracts should be a maximum of 300 words excluding the title, authors, and their affiliations.
- Abstracts should NOT contain tables, figures, or references.

ACCEPTANCE / REJECTION OF ABSTRACTS
The Scientific Programme Committees for both SANS and RCSSA reserve the right to accept or reject any abstract.
Authors will be notified in writing by the 30th August 2024 whether their abstract has been accepted or rejected. Authors will also be notified at this point whether they have been accepted for oral or poster presentation and will be advised of the necessary guidelines for their relevant presentation type.
Late submissions and submissions that do not conform to the guidelines above will not be considered.
Presenting authors must be registered and present at the congress to present their work. Presenting authors will be able to register at the early registration fee but must be registered by the 13th September 2024.
HOW TO USE THE ONLINE SUBMISSION SYSTEM
- Visit: https://app.oxfordabstracts.com/stages/8385/submitter
- You will need to register as a user on the Oxford Abstracts system.
- Once you have signed in you will need to submit a new abstract. A submission form will come up and you will be required to complete all the fields.
- Fields marked with a * are mandatory and your submission will be incomplete if any of these fields are missed.
- The title and authors of your submission are entered separately to the body of your abstract, please do not include the title or authors names in the abstract field.
- Once all the fields have been completed click the submit button in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.
- You will then receive a notification that you submission was completed successfully.
