Depart Durban for a pleasant drive along the South Coast and then inland through rural areas to Tala. Tala Private Game Reserve is a wildlife conservancy hidden in the hills of a quiet farming community. Tala's mix of acacia thornveld, open grassland and sensitive wetland provides exceptional game viewing and birding opportunities. After refreshments under the trees on arrival, there is a drive through the reserve in open game viewing vehicles.
You can expect to see giraffe, rhino, wildebeest, ostrich, antelope, warthog and hippos. The bird life is also abundant. After your game drive, a sumptuous lunch is served at the Latala Restaurant, with good South African wines available (these will be for your own expense). In the afternoon a leisurely trip back to Durban is planned.
