Participants in the 2011 World Methodist Conference are asked to bring school supplies for the children of South Africa. The Methodist Church of Southern Africa will distribute the donated school supplies to schools where they are desperately needed. The following 12 items are requested:
Pencils
Pencil boxes
Erasers
Hand-held pencil sharpeners
School scissors
Rulers
Note pads
Crayons
Markers
Chalk
Glue sticks
Backpacks (Rucksacks)
A collection point will be located near the registration desk at the International Convention Center (ICC) as a drop-off site for he school supplies. A report will be made to the Conference about the success of this project!
