GENERAL HELPFUL INFORMATION
VENUE
The congress is being held at the Emperors Palace Convention Centre, 64 Jones Road, O.R. Tambo, Kempton Park, Johannesburg.

The Emperors Palace Shuttle service is a complimentary service offered to all guests travelling between O.R. Tambo International Airport and Emperors Palace. The Shuttle runs every 20 minutes from 06h00 and 23h00. For after-hours collections, call Unicab on +27 (0)11 928 1762. The shuttle vans are black with the Emperors Palace logo on the sides and the drivers wear a black Emperors Palace uniform.

Directions from Arrivals Hall Terminal: Exit the International Arrivals building, cross over the road and look for a sign stating "Public Transport" which will be visible, walk straight ahead ensuring The Intercontinental Hotel remains on your right-hand side. Continue through the foyer until you exit into the "Shuttle pick-up Point."

Parking is complimentary for delegates attending the conference. Please state at the gate that you are attending the SA Renal conference and you will be provided with a parking voucher which you will have to return when exiting the gate.

ONSITE REGISTRATION PROCEDURES & SPEAKER PREPARATION ROOM
Please bring your confirmation of registration to the registration desk at the Conference Centre, to collect your registration materials. If you are registering for the first time or paying your registration fees, please go to the Onsite Registration desk.

The Speaker Preparation Room is in Assembly IV. You will need to upload your presentation (preferably 24 hours prior to your presentation) before you report to the meeting room you are presenting in. For more information please refer to the Presenters Instructions that were emailed to you.

The Registration desk and Speaker Preparation room operating hours will be as follows:
Thursday 11th October: 09h00 - 10h00 (outside Senate II)
Friday 12th October: 07h30 - 19h30
Saturday 13th October: 07h30 - 17h00
Sunday 14th October: 08h00 - 12h00

INSURANCE
SA Renal Congress accepts no liability for any personal injury, loss or damage of property belonging to or additional expenses incurred by congress participants either during the congress or as result of delays, strikes or any other circumstances. Participants are requested to make their own arrangements with respect to health, travel, and cancellation insurance.

MEDICAL EMERGENCIES
Johannesburg and South Africa have several excellent medical facilities, able to meet any medical emergency. As with any travel, you are advised to take out travel insurance to cover the cost of private hospital treatment.

A paramedic is available onsite at the Congress in the Medical Suite.

POSTER BOARD INFORMATION
Printed posters will be displayed in Assembly I & II. Posters may go up from 08h00 on Friday 12th of October and must be removed by 10h15 on Sunday 14th of October. Posters left up after this time will be discarded.

PROGRAMME CHANGES
The organizers cannot assume liability for any changes in the programme due to external or unforeseen circumstances.
